The innovative Plug-in Technology is defined in two different category.

• Compax - Pre-fabricated splice body comes with integrated screw connector along with superior mechanical outer body. This single integrated splice with all inner and outer connection is easy to install, safe and without multiple interfaces. Each splice is tested  individually before dispatch. 
• Cellplux - Pre-fabricated touch proof connectors have been developed specifically for RMUs and wherever the space is constraint. The integrated components system and robust construction allow easy, fast and safe installation. Cellplux products are suitable for a wide range of applications due to integrated screw cable lugs. Each cellplux product is tested  individually before dispatch.

The Contrax products are made of silicone rubber comes in a one piece insulator and splice suitable for medium voltage terminations as well straight-through joints. It covers wide cross-section range, slip-on components for quick, safe and easy for installation.

• 3M Heat Shrink MV Splice Kit offers reliability and flexibility to meet the demands of cable network operators. The joints are available for 11, 22 & 33 kV. The kit provides a lightweight, compact, and environmentally sealed system for splicing extruded dielectric shielded power cables. The kit consists of heat shrinkable tubing, moulded parts, mastics and other accessories for making a complete joint.

  Kit Components

  All the heat shrinkable components are supplied in an expanded state and would shrink effectively on application of heat.

  • Anti-tracking/Lug Sealing Tubes to meet the outdoor conditions & performance requirements of medium voltage power cable end splices. The material resists to splitting and has excellent arc resistance. These tubes are flexible, conforms to shapes/core bends, halogen free, self-extinguishing and suitable for both outdoor and indoor applications.
  • Stress Control Tubes to provide electrical stress grading and relief on screen interruptions, which avoids localised stress accumulation leading to failures. 3M SCT tubes are made from specially formulated Polyolefin and provide good balance between electrical and mechanical properties.
  • Lug Sealing Tubes to protect the interface between the splice lug and the cable core covered with the non-tracking MV tube.
  • Lugs to provide high-performance connections.
  • Cleaning Solvent Pouches to clean the XLPE insulation surface.
  • Worm Clips to ensure good electrical connection.
  • Tinned Copper Braid to protect conductive wiring from interference and handling large current and low voltage.
  • Stress Control Mastic to be applied on the connector and semi-conducting screen to fill all the gaps and uneven surfaces.
  • Sealing Mastic, conformable and durable mastic with excellent moisture and environmental seal used for sealing medium voltage cables and accessories and covering sharp edges.
  • PVC Insulation Tape, thermally compatible to insulate electrical wires and other materials that conduct electricity. Use as markings on the joint construction.
  • Ferrules to protect against damage, splitting or wear.
  • Black Sealing Mastic, conformable and durable mastic with excellent moisture and environmental seal used for sealing medium voltage cables and accessories and covering sharp edges.
  • Tartan tape – GU Vinyl Tape to provide primary electrical insulation for all wire and cable splices with pressure-sensitive rubber-based adhesive.
  • Stress Grading Mastic, a water-resistant adhesive applied on connectors and cable components, used in MV joints to provide stress relief of the electric field
  • Steel Canister to be wrapped over the joints
