Raychem’s BBIT/BPTM and HVBT heat shrinkable Busbar insulation ubings and tapes provide insulation enhancement and flashover protection.

These superior Composite Hollow Insulators can be applied on aluminum and copper Busbars of circular, rectangular and cross-section. Its wall thickness is controlled by heat shrink process. BPTM offers flashover protection up to 25kV, whilst the thicker walled BBIT will protect up to 36kV. High voltage tests on Bbusbars insulated with BBIT/BPTM tubing demonstrate significant reduction in clearances over conventional Air Insulated Systems.

Raysulate Creepage Extenders boost the flashover performance of insulators decreasing surface electric stress and leakage current and increases the electric strength of insulators.
